AOMAA is a 40 year old Subud non-governmental organization a non-profit served by volunteers who provide fund raising service equipment technical advisement & volunteers to medical professionals & social service projects in areas of need providing direct service to the poor victims of tragedy & the underserved.

AOMAA proceeded to change directions from a medical goods & equipment procurement & transport organization to an advocacy & social projects oriented agency mandated to help build local non-profits. AOMAA has since responded to unique requests for assistance for the poor and victims of disasters. Most recently AOMAA served to partner to build the IBU Foundation in Indonesia responding to earthquakes the tsunami & other environmental disasters. This team is currently working in Nias Island Aceh & Padang Sumatra. Other small scale local projects are incubating.

AOMAA’s hundreds of volunteers & local implementing partners have made the work possible. Founder Muhammad Laksar (Laurence) Rattay served to lead & develop the organization from its inception in the late 60’s until his retirement in 1999. At that time a Board of Directors composed of Subud doctors and nurses took charge to create a transition to a new organization led by Board President Dr. Lucia Cargill.
